Snapshot First
A generated Landmark Glimpse is saved as a complete D1 snapshot. Repeat visits and shared pages read from D1 instead of rerunning the live source calls.
The current product is a cache-first Landmark Glimpse for unregistered users. Its job is to preserve a useful first-pass historical snapshot while making source coverage and limitations visible.

Archive records are treated as place-sensitive. The free tier favors nearby or state-matched context and avoids preserving weak matches as authoritative records.
The cache is reused until the user explicitly requests fresh data. Refreshing is the moment when live services and the LLM organization path can run again.
Geological context is drawn from open geologic or terrain services when available.
Indigenous context is a broad territory signal, not a legal land acknowledgement or definitive cultural history.
Archive and local-history context is included only when the match is relevant enough to the requested locality.
LLM organization is used to clean, structure, and summarize source material. It should not be treated as independent evidence.
